Brief history of Diocese:

Inaugurated in 1982, Katanga diocese has steadily been sowing the needs of the Anglican Church over an area of 496.877 Km2. Located to the South of the D.R. Congo, it is the 2 nd largest Diocese within the Province.

  • There are 9600 members in the Diocese. 36 parishes, 7 Archdeaconries.
  • The real is in Lubumbashi . The trauma of the war and the social poverty demand much attention. Theological Education is our priority in the mission.
  • We need more links. Swahili & French are our main languages.

Reason for wanting a Link:

  • To share experiences with others about the life of the church, the ministry and mission.
  • To find relative solutions to common challenges.
  • To keep the unity and the communion in the universal church according the prayer of our Lord in John 17. Understanding a help one other.

Describe the style and patterns of church life and ministry in your diocese:

  • Evangelical life based on scriptures an Christian tradition with effort to contextualise it in our cultures.
  • To encourage church members to be disciples of Christ and to face social challenges as believers.
  • To train people in vulgarised theology education for a rooted local Christianity.
  • To administrate the church.
