This programme will be extended in 2012 and 2013 to include Ministry Training Centres in the Dioceses of Temotu, Hanuato'o, Guadalcanal and Central Melanesia (Solomon Islands) and Centra; Solomons and also to include the Diocese of Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Selected students from these Ministry Training Centres will then come to the main site of BPTC to complete the Diploma programme which qualifies for ordination in stipendiary ministry. There is an arrangement with Pacific Theological College (Fiji)for distance education at Certificate level of ACOM students; and in Vanuatu some Diploma and Bachelors students are sent to Talua, which is a theological college run by the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu but on which ACOM has representation (see separate entry). Postgraduate students of ACOM (including Bachelor's Honours students) are currently educated at overseas institutions, either by full-time residential studies or distance education for some coursework degrees. BPTC currently has arrangements with Pacific Theological College (Fiji); The University of Auckland/St John's College (New Zealand); and Charles Stuart University / St Mark's (Canberra, Australia).
